The 18th-ranked Middlebury men's lacrosse team dropped a 10-4 decision at Hamilton on Tuesday afternoon. The game was originally scheduled for Wednesday, but moved due to impending weather.

HIGHLIGHTS
  • The Continentals took a 1-0 edge with 4:29 elapsed as Jesse Delinksy's low shot from the left side found the bottom corner of the net.
  • The Panthers tied it up at the 5:58 mark. Cooper DeMallie received a pass from Billy Curtis from behind the goal and rifled a shot just inside the left post to even the score at 1-1.
  • Middlebury wasted no time taking the lead in the second stanza. After 15 seconds, Russell Thorndike blasted a long-range attempt past Hamilton goalie Jack Fried to give the visitors a 2-1 advantage.
  • The hosts responded with back-to-back tallies by Thomas Healy and Frank Coyle two minutes apart to restore their one goal edge (3-2) with 7:31 remaining in the half.
  • The Continentals continued to extend their advantage to close out the quarter, pulling ahead by three on goals from Delinsky and Healy to take a 5-2 advantage into the locker room.
  • Hamilton picked up where it left off in the third stanza, scoring four unanswered markers over the opening 9:29 to storm into a 9-2 lead.
  • William Ryan quelled the run with 3:03 to go, tucking his close-range bid into the right side of the net to make it 9-3.
  • With six minutes left in the contest, the Panthers cut the deficit to five (9-4) as Thorndike found a cutting Will Spehr who slipped his shot into the left corner.
  • Middlebury pepper the net with shots over the remainder of the contest, but Fried stood tall, thwarting 22 total attempts.
  • Troy Pollock closed the game by tacking on a final tally with 29 seconds left to give the Continentals the 10-4 win.
