Sophia Hwang led the Panthers with a 74 to finish in a tie for fifth.
The Middlebury women's golf team began the spring portion of its schedule by finishing fifth at the SUNY Cortland Martin/Wallace Invitational with a team total of 309. Williams won the event with a score of 297, while New York University placed second with a total of 302 and Amherst was third (303). The invitational was condensed to just one 18-hole round after Saturday was canceled due to inclement weather.
