The Middlebury football team had 12 members who were named to the
National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society. Of the 339 institutions recognized, the Panthers were one of just 59 with 10 or more honorees.Â

Jack Greenburg,
Cole Kennon,
John McCool and
Macken McDonald. Joining them on the list were
Peter Merlini,
Sam Messina,
Finn Muldoon,
Kieran Sheridan,
Nolan Tibball,
Sam Wilson and
Donovan Wood.Â

The 12 seniors helped lead the Panther squad to a NESCAC Co-Champion distinction. Middlebury finished with an 8-1 record in 2023, tying Trinity for the league's top spot. The group posted a combined 27-9 record during their careers, including being a part of the historic 2019 season where the Panthers became the first team to finish a perfect 9-0 and capture the NESCAC title.

To earn a spot on the list, the student-athletes must have completed their final year of playing eligibility in 2023 and been starters or significant contributors throughout the season. They must have achieved a 3.20 cumulative grade point average in the classroom throughout the entire course of their respective undergraduate studies and met all NCAA-mandated progress toward degree requirements.
