The 13th-ranked Middlebury women's squash team battled #9 Dartmouth on Wednesday, falling 6-3 to the Big Green. The match was tightly contested, as four slots of the ladder went to five games and another needed four games to decide a winner.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Dartmouth secured the first three points with sweeps at #6 and #3, followed by a five-game triumph at #7. Â
- Margaux Comai got the Panthers on the scoreboard with a triumph in the middle of the ladder. She split the first two games with her opponent before winning games three and four (11-7, 3-11, 12-10, 11-6).
- The hosts recorded a five-game victory in the second slot and clinched the match with a win at #4.
- Madeline Schwarz outlasted her opponent in the ninth spot, fighting back from a 2-1 deficit for a five-game win (8-11, 11-6, 5-11, 11-6, 11-9).
- Dartmouth took a 6-2 advantage with a sweep atop the ladder.
- Mariana Reedich dropped her first two games at #8 but came all the way back for a thrilling 8-11, 5-11, 12-10, 11-6, 13-11 triumph and the final 6-3 score.
NOTES
- Comai's win was the 20th of her career.
- Reedich and M. Schwarz continued their winning ways, posting their team-leading 14th victories this season (14-1).Â
The Panthers are idle until Saturday when they travel to Amherst for the NESCAC Tournament. Middlebury earned the third seed and will square off with sixth-seeded/#18 Bowdoin at 12:00 p.m. in the quarterfinals of the single-elimination tournament.Â
