Henry Ericson placed third in the pole vault.
The Middlebury men's track and field team competed at the New York University (NYU) Division III Invitational on Friday night and was led by
Dave Filias who won the weight throw. The meet took place at The Armory in New York City with 32 competing teams.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Filias' winning throw of 16.19 meters was the best of 29 competitors and led the field by nearly a full meter.Â
- In the pole vault, Henry Ericson cleared the bar at 4.41m to place third overall.
- In the 60-meter hurdles, Aiden Tam finished in fourth place in the finals, clocking in at 8.41 seconds.Â
- Richard Clark and Marco Motroni advanced to the finals of the 60m dash, with Clark placing sixth (7.04) and Motroni following in ninth (7.11).
- Cracking the top 10 in the high jump was Caleb Smith, clearing the bar at 1.78m to earn seventh place.
- In the shot put, Dan Urchuk led the way with a ninth-place effort (13.32m), while Samuel Maxwell was right behind in 10th (12.98m).Â
- Rounding out the top-15 finishers was Parker Loupessis in the 400m (12th) and Sam Opawuyi in the triple jump (14th). Â
NOTES
- Clark (60m), Ericson (pole vault) and Opawuyi (triple jump) each tallied personal records at the meet.
The Panthers continue their road stint, traveling to Boston University next weekend for the two-day David Hemery Valentine Invitational.Â
