The 20th-ranked Panther women's swimming and diving team closed out the regular season by hosting the two-day Middlebury Invitational. The meet featured five squads but did not have team scoring.
 
HIGHLIGHTS

• A trio of Panthers highlighted the meet with first-place finishes. Elise Scott won the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 57.47, while Chloe Bautista took home the 200 fly title (2:05.24). Fayanne Smith-Salzberg touched the wall first in the 200 breaststroke with a clocking of 2:22.99. 
• Bautista finished as the runner-up in the 200 free with a time of 1:57.59.
• The 400 freestyle relay (Avery Maxwell, Asa Stone, Louise Hay and Hannah Baumgartner) combined for a time of 3:34.10 to earn second place.
• Stone also finished second in the 50 fly (25.98), while taking home bronze in the 100 fly (57.83). 
• Other runner-up laurels came from Grace Nadecki in the 400 individual medley (4:48.37) and Molly Nordquist in the 200 fly (2:10.29).
• Marian Zottola placed second in the 500 freestyle with a clocking of 5:18.56 and finished in third place in the 200 free (1:59.47). 
• The 200 medley relay quartet of Katie Chiappetta, Zoe Tray, Stone and Hay placed third with a time of 1:49.56.
• Chiappetta also earned an individual third-place effort in the 100 backstroke (59.30).
• Hailey Vandenbosch, Kate Wohl, Isabel Pentony and Maxwell put together a time of 8:05.34 in the 800 free relay to place third.
• Rounding out the bronze finishers were Evelyn Buetow in the 200 fly (2:12.01), Pai Easterbrook off the 3-meter diving board (290.45 points) and Emma Hall in the 50 breaststroke (31.28).

 The Panthers are idle next week before hosting the NESCAC Championships in the natatorium from February 15-18.
