Brams’ & Christner’s Podium Finishes Highlight Day Two of Dartmouth Carnival

Jack Christner finished as the runner-up in the classic mass start during the Dartmouth Carnival.
Shea Brams claimed the victory in the women's 15K classic mass start, while Jack Christner finished second in the men's 15K event to lead Middlebury to a fourth-place finish at the Dartmouth Carnival with 613.5 points. The University of Vermont won the carnival with 948 points, while the Big Green (794 points) and the University of New Hampshire (696 points) rounded out the top three.
 
NORDIC HIGHLIGHTS
  • Brams topped the podium for the second time this season, leading the pack to the finish line in the classic mass start with a time of 51:46.8.
  • Maggie Wagner also scored points for the Panthers, posting a time of 57:37.6.
  • On the men's side, Christner continued his superb weekend earning runner-up honors, crossing the finish line in 41:07.8.
  • Mason Wheeler was Middlebury's second scorer, rounding out the top-10 finishers with a time of 42:23.1.
  • Four spots back was Peter Warner who skied to a 14th-place showing with a clocking of 42:28.7. 
ALPINE HIGHLIGHTS
  • Two Panthers placed in the top eight in the women's slalom. Mika-Anne Reha finished fourth with a combined time of 1:42.63, while Katie Fynn was eighth, completing her two runs in 1:43.12.
  • Emma Hall rounded out the scorers, placing 20th with a combined clocking of 1:45.89.
  • Sebastian Segre led the way for Middlebury on the men's side, finishing his two trips down the mountain in 1:44.02 to place 11th.
  • Tied for 17th was Bradshaw Underhill who finished with a two-run time of 1:45.29.
NOTES
  • Brams has finished in the top-10 spots in seven of eight races this winter.
  • Christner and Warner each recorded their highest finishes this season.
  • Segre's time in the slalom was his best showing of the year.
  • The men's nordic team finished in second place in today's classic mass start with 102 points.
  • The women's alpine team secured third place during the slalom event with 98 points.
The Panthers will be back in action next Friday when they travel to Massachusetts for the Williams Carnival.
