Perry, Stola, Filias and Kenary each earned all-region recognition.
Four members of the Middlebury football team were named D3football.com All-Region I honorees. Thomas Perry earned a first-team nod on offense, while Rocco Stola secured top laurels for defense. Dave Filias and Tomás Kenary rounded out the selections with second and third-team defense awards.
HONOREE HIGHLIGHTS
- Perry (First Team Offense)
- Perry secured all-region honors from the organization for the second time after garnering third-team accolades a season ago.
- The offensive lineman tallied First Team AFCA All-American status and his third-consecutive All-NESCAC First-Team honor.
- The Panther started every game this season and was part of an offensive line that gave up the third-fewest sacks in the conference (14).
- Perry was also tabbed to the prestigious Reese's Senior Bowl Watch List and invited to the East-West Shrine Bowl to be played this upcoming January at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas.
- Stola (First Team Defense)
- Stola earned his first all-region nod.
- The defensive back secured his second-consecutive First Team All-NESCAC honor and third overall after being a second-team selection in 2022.
- Stola broke the school record for career pass breakups, moving to the top with 26 overall.
- The senior finished second in total tackles (50.0) and pass breakups (four).
- Filias (Second Team Defense)
- Filias tallied a second-team nod for the second time in his career after being a first-team selection in 2023.
- The junior also earned a First Team All-NESCAC nod for the second-consecutive season.
- The defensive lineman led the squad in sack yardage (48) and tied for first with 5.5 sacks.
- Filias finished his career fourth in program history in sacks (17), sack yardage (114) and tackles for loss yardage (133) alongside eclipsing the 100 tackle mark.
- Kenary (Third Team Defense)
- Kenary grabbed all-region laurels for the third time in a Panther uniform.
- The lineman tallied his third-consecutive First Team All-NESCAC honor and became the third Middlebury player to become a two-time AFCA All-American.
- Kenary reached the 100 solo tackle plateau (102) earlier this season.
- The senior put his stamp on the program's record book, finishing with the most sacks (30), sack yardage (227), tackles for loss (51) and TFL yardage (267).
