The Middlebury men’s squash team opens its season on Saturday, November 16 when it takes on Connecticut College in Hartford, Connecticut. The Panthers welcome back a strong nucleus from last year’s roster while adding five first-year competitors.

Nathan Feinstein, Caleb Boateng and Will Lichstein each played much of last winter at the top of the ladder. Feinstein competed in the top position throughout the season and represented the Panthers at the CSA Individual Championships. Boateng recorded seven wins last year, primarily in the #3 slot. He posted a three-game triumph during the consolation semifinal at the CSA Team Championships. Lichstein battled opponents in the second position, securing a trio of wins, including a five-game victory against Brown.

Kian Kardestuncer looks to solidify the middle of the ladder for Middlebury. He posted a 12-6 record last winter, including a 9-4 mark at #4. He has recorded a combined 23 wins (23-13) coming into his junior campaign. 

David Zhao and Noah Lazar also return for the Panthers. Zhao was tied for the team lead in victories last season, boasting a 12-5 overall record. He started the year on a nine-match winning streak in the six through eight spots of the ladder. Zhao earned  two triumphs in the #8 slot during the CSA Team Championships, while Lazar also claimed a victory in the #8 position earlier in the winter.

The Panthers are led by Lewis, who enters his 10th year guiding the program.
