HIGHLIGHTS
- The Panthers had the first of two consecutive opportunities against Camels' netminder Kellen Beauton off the sticks of Dante Palombo and Jackson Morehouse four minutes into the contest. Beauton stepped up to the occasion, guiding both chances aside to keep Middlebury off the board.
- Connecticut College started to find some momentum of its own at the five-minute mark of the opening period. After a faceoff win by Logan Cleary, Will Lawrence fired two shots that were smothered by netminder Conor Sullivan.
- Middlebury continued to pepper Beauton as the minutes wore down in the first, blasting six difference chances on goal. Beauton snagged four of the bids, while the other attempts were blocked by defenders Jack Houser and Rocco Testa-Basi.
- The Camels would get an extra skater on a high-sticking penalty by the Panthers at the 15:24 mark, but could only muster off one shot as the teams skated to a 0-0 result after the opening period.
- Middlebury broke the scoreless tie with 4:27 gone in the second stanza. Jin Lee collected a wide shot by Connecticut College and raced down the ride side of the ice before finding a streaking Revy Mack to his right, who sent the puck into the bottom of the net for a 1-0 edge.
- The Camels rattled off six shots in 50 seconds beginning at the 13:35 mark. Sullivan continued to be a wall, stopping five bids to deny the hosts.
- Connecticut College nearly tied the contest on a chance from Andrew Eberling with one second remaining, but Sullivan thwarted the bid to keep the 1-0 edge heading into the final 20 minutes of action.
- The Camels tied the game with 2:31 gone in the third. Cleary sent in a bid that bounced off Sullivan's chest and towards the left side of the net, but Lawrence was there to tip in the rebound to make it 1-1.
- Middlebury's offense pestered the Camels as the minutes ticked off the clock as a chance by Silverman at the 9:52 mark was followed by four-consecutive chances.
- The Camels found the game-winner with 3:27 left in the contest. An initial bid from Jack Luca hit the pipe and came down just in front of the crease, causing a scrum. Lawrence eventually poked the loose puck to Shane Zarcone, who slid his bid past a sprawled-out Sullivan for the 2-1 advantage.
