Patton, Schin & Ward Tabbed All-NESCAC Selections

Lucy Patton and Maddie Schin were first-team selections, while Abby Ward garnered a second-team accolade.
Lucy Patton, Maddie Schin and Abby Ward of the #17 Middlebury women's soccer team landed places on the All-NESCAC teams. Patton and Schin earned spots on the first team, while Ward garnered second-team honors.
 
ABOUT THE HONOREES
  • Patton (First Team)
    • Patton picks up her first all-conference laurel.
    • The senior appeared in 15 contests with 14 starts, logging the second-highest minute total (1,073) on the Panthers.
    • She was a part of a defensive unit that surrendered just nine goals in 16 matches and had a 0.56 goals against average.
    • The captain appeared in 61 career contests with 43 starts and scored a goal during her first season.
  • Schin (First Team)
    • The senior tallied her second all-conference nod, moving up from a second-team selection a year ago.
    • Schin helped a defensive unit that allowed nine goals in 16 matches and finished with a 0.56 GAA.
    • She paced the squad with 1,249 minutes played and started every contest this fall.
    • Serving as a captain this season, she saw action in 53 career games with 36 starts while tallying a goal as a sophomore.
  • Ward (Second Team)
    • Ward lands a spot on the second team for her initial all-league recognition.
    • The midfielder played in every match with 14 starts, pacing the team with 10 points on four goals and a pair of assists. She posted the game-winning score in a 1-0 season-opening victory at Clark.
    • Ward assisted on the game-winners against Trinity and Connecticut College.
    • The senior posted the fourth-most minutes played with 1,013.
Middlebury finished its season with an 8-2-6 record.
