The Middlebury men's cross country team honored its seniors before Satruday's races.
The 17th-ranked Middlebury men's cross country team finished fifth at the Connecticut College Invite with 158 points. The event featured a strong field that included a plethora of nationally-ranked programs. The team title was claimed by #11 New York University with 80 points, #14 St. Olaf was second with 95 points, while #21 Williams was third with 127 points. Prior to the race, Middlebury honored seniors

HIGHLIGHTS
- Pacing the Panther pack was Donahue, finishing in 11th place out of 269 runners with a clocking of 24:30.0.
- Also cracking the top-20 spots was Goddard in 20th (24:40.1), while Benjamin Hughes was two places behind in 22nd (24:42.8). Hughes shaved three seconds off his previous personal-best time.
- Shef West raced to a 43rd-place effort with a clocking of 25:06.10. Harry Griff rounded out the scorers, crossing the line with a personal-record effort of 25:32.4.
- Jakobe (25:53.3) and Cameron Miles (25:54.6) tallied top-100 spots in 89th and 91st, respectively.
NOTES
The Panthers have a week off from competition before heading to Bowdoin for the NESCAC Championship on Saturday, November 2.
