#16 Panthers Top Hamilton 9-0

Sabrina Schwarz tallied a victory at the top of the ladder.
The 16th-ranked Middlebury women's squash team claimed its third-straight victory, topping Hamilton 9-0 on Tuesday evening. The squad tallied 3-0 victories in eight of the nine matches.
 
HIGHLIGHTS
  • Playing in the ninth spot, Kieran Suntha got things going for the Panthers, sweeping her opponent (11-5, 11-0, 11-1) to earn the first point of the day.
  • Mariana Reedich (#6) and Abby Holding (#3) tallied 3-0 victories, with Reedich dropping just three total points.
  • In the eighth slot, Clementine Campbell relented just four games en route to a 3-0 triumph, while Eva Finney (#4) cruised to a three-game win (11-4, 11-6, 11-0) to clinch the match for Middlebury.
  • At #2, Izzy Ronda earned a sweep (11-6, 11-8, 11-3), before Madeline Schwarz topped her opponent 11-3, 11-3, 11-1.
  • Maya Bardorf (#5) and Sabrina Schwarz (#1) closed out the match with victories to give the Panthers a 9-0 triumph.
NOTES
  • Reedich improves to 6-0 on the season, with five of those triumphs coming in straight-sets. 
  • With her victory, M. Schwarz also extended her winning streak to six-straight this year.
  • The programs played for the 55th time with Middlebury holding a decided 46-9 advantage. The Panthers have won the last 14 matchups against Hamilton.
The Panthers continue their homestand with NESCAC matches on Friday (4:00 p.m.), Saturday (3:00 p.m.) and Sunday (11:00 a.m.).
