Men’s Track & Field Hosts MNESCI At The Track At New Balance

Marco Motroni won the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.01.
The Panther men's track and field team hosted the Middlebury's New England Small College Invite at The TRACK at New Balance.
 
HIGHLIGHTS
  • Dave Filias smashed his personal-best mark in the weight throw, tossing the implement 17.39m to win the event in a field of 31 athletes. The Panther also placed ninth in the shot put, recording a mark of 13.05m.
  • In the 60 dash finals, Marco Motroni led the field with a blistering 7.01 clocking to win the event. 
  • In the mile, Zach Utz placed fifth with a clocking of 4:21.00.
  • A pair of Panthers advanced to the 60-meter hurdles finals, with Aiden Tam (8.50) and Jefferson Hill (8.54) finishing in fourth and fifth, respectively.
  • In the pole vault, Henry Ericson tied his personal-best height of 4.40m to place seventh, while Joel Kofman finished in ninth (4.25m). 
  • Richard Clark narrowly missed the top 10 in the 200, placing 11th with a time of 22.66, just 0.01 off of the 10th finisher.
  • In the triple jump, Sam Opawuyi earned fourth overall with a leap of 12.67m. 
  • Alec Gironda made his season debut in the 3,000m, clocking in at 8:36.97 to finish in seventh. 
  • The Panther distance medley relay squad (Utz, Lachlan Bishop, Raymond Pavlik and Owen Johnson) combined for a time of 10:22.41 to earn runner-up laurels.
The Panthers travel to The Armory on Friday for the New York University DIII Invitational.
