The 16th-ranked Middlebury women's squash team grounded #17 William Smith, tallying wins in spots four through nine for a 6-3 triumph on Sunday. The victory was the eighth straight for the Panthers.Â

- Middlebury jumped ahead 2-0 with three-game victories from Margaux Comai at #5 (11-6, 11-7, 11-7) and Clementine Campbell at the bottom of the ladder (11-6, 11-9, 11-9).
- The Herons cut the deficit to one (2-1) with a 3-1 win in the second spot.
- The Panthers responded by tallying the next two points, each coming by a sweep. Maya Bardorf tallied an 11-8, 11-5, 11-6 triumph at #6, followed by an 11-4, 11-8, 11-5 win in the eighth slot by Madeline Schwarz.
- William Smith posted its second point of the contest with a sweep at #3 to move to within two (4-2) on the scoreboard.
- Middlebury closed the match with two of the last three points. Abby Holding fought back from a 2-1 deficit, edging her opponent in a five-game triumph to clinch the match at #4 (11-6, 8-11, 9-11, 11-9, 11-6). Mariana Reedich picked up a three-game victory in the seventh spot (11-4, 11-8, 12-10).
- The visitors tallied a 52-minute, five-game victory in the top spot for the final 6-3 score.

After playing the last nine matches at home, Middlebury takes to the road for their next match on Friday against Brown. The contest will be played at the Moses Brown School in Providence, Rhode Island.
