Jack Christner finished in the top-10 spots in both races this weekend.
The Middlebury nordic ski team moved up one spot in the standings at the University of Vermont Carnival on Saturday to finish as the runner-up. Dartmouth maintained its position at the top of the leaderboard with 490 points, followed by the Panthers (385 points) who leap-frogged the Catamounts (367 points) who were in second a day ago.

The alpine portion of the carnival was rescheduled to the weekend of January 26, but eventually canceled due to poor racing conditions. The final carnival team scores only include nordic events.Â

WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
- Leading the way for Middlebury was Shea Brams who completed the 10K freestyle course in 29:09 to place sixth overall.
- Sofia Scirica finished in 11th, clocking in at 29:28.
- Rounding out the scorers was Maggie Wagner, breaking the top-20 with an 18th-place finish (29:59).
MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
- The men's squad had two racers place in the top-10 spots. Logan Moore paced the group with a fifth-place showing, covering the course in 25:44.
- Jack Christner was just two spots back in seventh, crossing the finish line in 27:08.
- The third scorer for Middlebury was Mason Wheeler, stopping the clock in 27:05 to earn a spot in the top 20 (15th).

The Panthers travel to Waterville, Maine next weekend for the Colby Carnival. Events will take place on Friday and Saturday.Â
