Stephanie Renouf lowered her personal-best time by nearly 14 seconds.
The Middlebury women's cross country team posted numerous personal-best efforts on its way to finishing in 14th place out of 43 teams competing in the Brown Race at the Paul Short Run. The race was comprised of squads representing all three NCAA divisions and had 351 runners. Claiming the team victory was #12 New York University with 69 points, while Duquesne (DI) with 161 points and 17th-ranked Lynchburg's 173 points round out the top three.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Audrey MacLean continued her strong start to the season. She crossed the line with a personal-best clocking of 21:56.2, nearly 30 seconds better than her previous time, to earn seventh-place accolades.
- Bea Parr posted a top-50 effort with a 43rd-place finish in career-best effort of 22:45.6.
- Caroline VanSchaick also lowered her personal-best time by 10.4 seconds, recording a 106th-place effort (23:25.7).
- Rounding out the scorers for Middlebury were Stephanie Renouf in 118th (23:30.4) and Morgane Orcutt with a 159th-place run (23:51.9). Renouf's time was better than her personal best by nearly 14 seconds.
- Also competing in the race with solid finishes for the Panthers were Sheldyn Fisher, Tatum Peskin and Keegan McAuliffe.
NOTES
- In the Open Women's 6K, Adrienne Christy led the way for Middlebury with a personal-best time by almost 19 seconds (24:24.9) to place 136th out of 299 competitors.
- Christy was followed closely by Josie Dolan in 139th 24:26.9, while Annabelle Lapp erased her collegiate-best time by 1:19 with a time of 25:07.3.
Middlebury has a week off from competition before it takes part in the Connecticut College Invitational on October 14.
