Women’s Cross Country Runs To Second Place At Fred Pavlich Invitational

Audrey Maclean finished as the runner-up.

The Middlebury women's cross country team finished in second place during the Fred Pavlich Invitational hosted by Bard. The Panthers had three runners in the top-11 spots to finish with 51 points. Vassar took home the title, as the 15th-ranked Brewers finished with 38 points, while #12 Amherst was third with 75 points.

HIGHLIGHTS

Audrey MacLean continued her strong start to the season, crossing the line with a time of 22:26.5 to earn runner-up honors.
Bea Parr posted a top-10 effort with a sixth-place finish in 22:54.2, while Violet Ross just missed the top 10 by 0.2 seconds in 11th (23:17.8).
Rounding out the scorers for Middlebury were Morgane Orcutt in 13th (23:24.7) and Caroline VanSchaick with a 19th-place run (23:36.1).
VanSchaick led a quintet of Panthers to line, as Sheldyn Fisher, Kate Ratcliffe, Stephanie Renouf and Tatum Peskin compiled the 20th-23rd places in the results.

Middlebury returns to action when it takes part in the Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh on Saturday.
