#19 Men’s Cross Country Wins Fred Pavlich Invitational

Gironda was the first runner across in a field of 148.
The 19th-ranked Middlebury men's cross country team placed four runners in the top 10 on Saturday to claim the title at the Fred Pavlich Invitational with 26 points. Amherst finished in second place with 46 points, while Vassar's 65 points rounded out the top three.

HIGHLIGHTS
  • Alec Gironda led the pack, claiming the race's top spot. The Panther posted the winning time of 25:20.4
  • Earning the runner-up spot was Benjamin Hughes who stopped the clock at 25:26.5.
  • Ziggy Goddard (25:34.8) and Drew Donahue (25:36.5) crossed the finish line in fourth and sixth places, respectively. 
  • Rounding out the scorers for Middlebury was Shef West who finished 13th with a time of 25:56.5.
NOTES
  • Today's team triumph was the Panthers' third-consecutive victory in as many races this season.
