Middlebury Finishes Eighth At 39th Annual Duke Nelson Invitational

Colin McCaigue led Middlebury with an 18th-place finish.
The Middlebury men's golf team hosted the 39th Annual Duke Nelson Invitational, finishing in eighth place out of 24 teams.

HIGHLIGHTS
  • The Panthers moved up two spots on the final day of competition, recording a score of 601 (302-299). Babson took home the title with a total of 577 (293-284), while Endicott's Brady Burke won the event shooting 69 each day.
  • Leading Middlebury was Colin McCaigue and Paul Fine-Lease. McCaigue finished in 18th place with a two-day score of 147, while Fine-Lease was right behind with a 148. McCaigue collected five birdies over the weekend.
  • Bradshaw Underhill was third for the Panthers in his golfing debut, shooting 152 (77-75) to tie for 38th place.
  • Rounding out the scorers was Charlie Schulman (154) and Derek Ban (162), finishing in ties for 50th and 103rd, respectively.
Middlebury travels to Massachusetts next weekend for the Williams Invitational.
