Nine members of the Middlebury women's hockey team earned academic praises from the American Hockey Coaches Association.
The American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) named nine Middlebury women's hockey players
Krampade/AHCA All-American Scholars. The Panthers are among 370 Division II/III players selected for the award which recognizes any athlete who owns a 3.75 grade point average (GPA) or above for each semester and appears in a minimum of 40% of the team's games.
Earning recognition for Middlebury were
Caroline Cutter,
Delanie Goniwiecha,
Julia Johnson,
Elinor Keehn and
Audrey Lazar. Also garnering a spot on the list were
Kylie Quinlan,
Raia Schluter,
Claudia Vira and
Cece Ziegler. Cutter earned the accolade for the fourth time in her career, Johnson and Vira picked up their third award from the organization, while Quinlan and Schluter were honored for the second time.
Middlebury concluded last season with a 17-8-2 overall record and a 10-4-2 mark in NESCAC play. The Panthers earned a spot in the NCAA Tournament for the 18th time in program history, advancing to the quarterfinals after winning a first-round contest in Chip Kenyon '85 Arena.
