ZIggy Goddard competed in the 3,000-meter steeplechase on Wednesday.
Competitors from the Middlebury men's track and field team participated in the Williams Final Qualifier on Wednesday afternoon. The meet serves as the final chance for student-athletes to try to qualify for the upcoming NCAA Championships.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Peter Hansen entered the day on Wednesday with Division III's 21st-fastest time in the 400-meter hurdles of 53.25. He led the field to the line during Wednesday's race, finishing with a time of 53.38. Xander Swann also competed in the event, placing third with a clocking of 55.95.
- Dave Filias won the hammer throw on Wednesday with a toss of 55.73m. He currently holds the nation's 12th-best throw in the event at 58.84m. Samuel Maxwell and Dan Urchuk tried to better their season-best distances in the hammer throw. Urchuk finished in second place (42.71m) and Maxwell was third (42.50m).

The top-22 Division III performers in each event at the end of this week will be invited to participate at the NCAA Championships in Rochester, New York at St. John Fisher. The field will be announced on May 21.
