Alec Ritch has been tabbed NESCAC Player of the Week for the second time in his career.

Alec Ritch of the Middlebury baseball team was tabbed the NESCAC Player of the Week for the second time of his career. The outfielder played a critical role in helping Middlebury earn a must-win conference series at Amherst this weekend.

HIGHLIGHTS

In the two victories over the Mammoths, Ritch had three runs on three hits with a team-high six RBI and a pair of home runs.
The senior came in clutch during the opening game of the series, plating the tying run to help the Panthers edge Amherst 7-6, while posting a career-high five RBI, including a go-ahead grand slam.
Over the 4-1 week, Ritch paced the squad at the plate with a .467 batting average while recording seven hits, 11 RBI, three round-trippers, a double and five runs scored.

Ritch and the rest of the Panthers will host Trinity in the opening round of the NESCAC Tournament with doubleheader action on Saturday, May 6 at 12:00 p.m. The game is a best-of-three series, with the third game on Sunday if needed.
