Men’s Golf Opens Spring Season At Tim Brown Invitational

Anthony King finished in a tie for 40th place.
The Middlebury men's golf team returned to the links this weekend to start its spring season. The Panthers placed seventh out of 19 teams at Skidmore's Tim Brown Invitational. Trinity won the event with a two-day score of 564, followed by Husson (569) and Babson (574). Middlebury finished in seventh place with a combined score of 585.

HIGHLIGHTS
  • On the opening day of the invite, Hogan Beazley led Middlebury with a three under par score of 68. He notched an eagle and three birdies to highlight the day. Beazley followed that up with a 73 on Sunday, finishing in a four-way tie for fifth place with a two-day total of 141.
  • Colin McCaigue was right behind Beazley on day one (69), and tied for 10th place overall with a score of 143. Over the weekend, McCaigue had one eagle and five birdies. 
  • The next golfers for Middlebury were Anthony King and Charlie Schulman, who each tied for 40th place with scores of 149. King's best score came on Sunday (73), while Schulman shined on the first day (74). 
  • Sean McGarrity and Paul Fine-Lease rounded out the scorers, finishing in ties for 64th and 70th, respectively. 
 
The Panthers travel back to Skidmore for a match on Sunday, April 16.
