Women’s Golf Ties for Fifth at Jack Leaman Invitational

Audrey Tir fired a 78 to tie for 13th overall.
The Middlebury women's golf team finished with a score of 323 to tie with Hamilton for fifth place at the Jack Leaman Invitational hosted by Amherst. Williams and the host Mammoths tied for first in the event with 306 strokes while New York University (NYU) rounded out the top three (308). The second day of competition was canceled due to inclement weather.

HIGHLIGHTS
  • Morgan Lee was the Panthers' top scorer, finishing in a tie for ninth after shooting a team-best 77 on Saturday. 
  • Audrey Tir was just one shot behind Lee, firing a 78 to tie for 13th overall. 
  • Katie Murphy was Middlebury's third finisher. The senior placed 18th with a score of 79.  
  • Kayla Li and Elizabeth Kenter rounded out the scorers for the Panthers. Li placed 50th, while Kenter finished three shots behind to finish 61st overall.
NOTES
  • Middlebury also had five individuals compete in the Invitational. Mia Politano led the way for the individual players, shooting a 79 to tie for 18th.
