Alec Gironda was third in the 10,000 meters on Friday evening.
Four distance members of the Middlebury men's outdoor track and field team competed at the Mangrum Invitational on Friday night. The meet featured athletes from all three NCAA divisions, the NAIA as well as community colleges and was hosted by California State University San Marcos.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Alec Gironda led three Panthers in the 10,000 meters finishing in third place with a time of 29:56.59. Douglas Rosin was 14th at 32:23.67, while Harry Griff was right behind in 15th stopping the clock in 32:31.93.
- Max Cluss finished in 10th place in the 1,500m, dropping 0.71 seconds from a week ago to finish with a time of 3:54.72.
NOTES
- The times by all four competitors were personal records.
- The 10,000m by Griff was his first in a Middlebury uniform.
The rest of the Middlebury squad competes at the PLNU Collegiate Open on Saturday.
