Middlebury Finishes 10th At NCAA Championships

Logan Moore finished 14th during Saturday's 20K classic race.
The Middlebury ski teams finished in 10th place out of 22 teams at the 2023 NCAA Championships. The women's nordic squad tallied 32 points in each discipline, while the women's alpine squad led the way with 42 points (slalom) and 38 points during the giant slalom (GS). The Panthers recorded a final combined score of 215 points. Utah claimed the team title by tallying 526 points, while Colorado (491.5 points) and Denver (416.5 points) rounded out the top-three squads. 
 
WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
  • The first Middlebury skier across the finish line in the women's 20K classic was Shea Brams, clocking in at 1:03:22.8 which was good for 13th place.
  • Charlotte Ogden finished in 18th place with a clocking of 1:04:46.6. 
  • Quincy Massey-Bierman moved up five spots from the first 1.25KM split, placing 30th with a time of 1:07:43.7.
MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
  • The Moore duo finished in 15th and 16th place during the men's 20K classic race.
  • Logan Moore was the first Panther with a clocking of 58:18.8, while Willson Moore was right behind in 58:30.4. 
  • Jack Christner rounded out the scoring with a 28th-place showing, crossing the finish line in 1:01:16.6. 
NOTES
  • The women's nordic squad tallied 32 points in the classic, finishing seventh out of 17 teams. The men's team tallied 37 points to finish in eighth place overall.
