Members of the Middlebury women's swimming and diving team kicked off the four-day NESCAC Championship on Thursday, competing in the 800-yard freestyle relay. Tufts won the event and sits in first place with 90 points, followed by Williams (78) and Amherst (74). The Panthers and Bowdoin are tied in fourth place with 66 points. 
 
HIGHLIGHTS

• Middlebury's "A" team was made up of Hannah Baumgartner, Louise Hay, Avery Maxwell and Chloe Katz. The Panthers placed sixth out of 22 teams, clocking in with an NCAA B cut time of 7:36.17. 
• The "B" quartet (Julianna Haensly, Katie Cantrell, Kate Wohl and Grace Brady) finished with a time of 7:47.52 and earned 18 points for Middlebury.

The Panthers are back in action on Friday with preliminaries starting at 10:00 a.m.
