The top-seeded Middlebury women's squash team has advanced to the Collegiate Squash Association (CSA) Walker Cup final following an 8-1 win over fifth-seeded Wesleyan in semifinal play. The Panthers will play second-seeded Georgetown in the final, as the Hoyas edged sixth-seeded Chatham 5-4 in the other semifinal.
 
HIGHLIGHTS

• Middlebury started things off with five-consecutive victories.
• Lindsey Burnham was triumphant in the top spot (3, 3, 5), while Grace Santoro followed with a win at the bottom of the ladder (2, 5, 4).
• Margaux Comai kept the momentum rolling with a victory at #4 (6, 4, 4), while Abbie Peterson made it 4-0 behind a sweep in the eighth position (3, 9 ,7).
• Clinching the match for the Panthers was Abby Holding in the second spot, outlasting her opponent in a four-game battle (9-11, 11-5, 17-15, 11-7).
• Wesleyan recorded its lone point with a five-game victory at #6.
• Maya Bardorf improved to an impressive 13-1 record this season with a sweep one spot below in the seventh spot (2, 4, 2), while Izzy Ronda posted a three-game win at #3 (3, 9, 5).
• Rounding out the scoring for Middlebury was Eva Finney who dropped the first game in the middle of the ladder, before tallying a 9-11, 11-5, 11-7, 11-6 triumph for the final 8-1 score.

NOTES

• Holding collected her 15th career victory while Ronda earned her 10th.
• The Panthers are now 2-0 against the Hoyas this season, previously besting them by a 7-2 score on January 6.
• Sunday's championship match will be just the third time Middlebury and Georgetown have played in the all-time series with the Panthers claiming each of the previous contests.
• Middlebury will be playing for its third Walker Cup championship with the others coming in 2004 and 2005.
