Emma Hall placed 11th in the race.
The Middlebury women's alpine squad paced the ski teams on the first day of Williams Carnival, winning the slalom event with 116 points. The men's nordic squad earned a runner-up finish in the 10K classic, tallying 105 points. The Panthers sit in second place overall with 395 points, while the University of Vermont is in first (441 points).
ALPINE HIGHLIGHTS
- Sophia Tozzi finished runner-up in the slalom, earning her first career podium finish. Tozzi completed her two trips down the mountain with a time of 1:38.84, just 0.2 seconds behind the winner.
- Both of Middlebury's other scorers also finished in the top 10. Sofia Yubero finished in fifth placed with a combined clocking of 1:39.42, while Mika-Anne Reha was 10th (1:40.29). Emma Hall was right behind Reha, placing 11th (1:40.32).
- On the men's side, Matt Austin led the way with a 12th-place finish, recording a two-run time of 1:31.62.
- A few spots back in 17th place was Charlie Lang, clocking in with a combined time of 1:32.02.
- Rounding out the scorers for the Panthers was Michel Macedo in 20th (1:32.20).
NORDIC HIGHLIGHTS
- The men's squad led off the day, taking places six through eight in the 10K classic to finish second overall.
- Pacing the group was Willson Moore, finishing in sixth with a time of 31:34.9.
- Jack Christner (31:48.2) and Logan Moore (32:02.5) were right behind, placing seventh and eighth, respectively.
- Leading the women's side was Charlotte Ogden, finishing just one spot off the podium (fourth) with a time of 37:04.1.
- Also placing in the top 10 was Shea Brams, clocking in at 38:15.5, which was good for ninth place.
- Rounding out the scorers was Quincy Massey-Bierman, finishing in 12th place with a time of 38:28.2.

The alpine team is back in action with the giant slalom at Jiminy Peak, while the nordic squad competes in the freestyle on Prospect Mountain.
