Men’s Squash Downed By Tufts in NESCAC Tournament Action

PK Keller earned a hard-fought five-game victory in the fifth slot.

The sixth-seeded Middlebury men's squash team fell to the third-seeded Tufts 8-1 in NESCAC Quarterfinal action on Saturday afternoon.

HIGHLIGHTS

The Jumbos opened the match with sweeps at #7 and #2.
Tufts followed it up with back-to-back 3-1 wins in the sixth and fourth slots to take a 4-0 lead, before clinching the match with a victory at the bottom of the ladder.
The Jumbos extended their lead to 8-0 with triumphs at #8, #1 and #3.
PK Keller closed the day with a tightly-contested five-game victory (11-8, 3-11, 11-5, 8-11, 11-8) in the fifth spot.

NOTES

Keller earned his 11th win this winter and his 29th career victory in today's match.
The meeting was the 10th time the two programs have faced one another.

Tufts moves on to face second-seeded Williams in the semifinals, while the Panthers will await to learn their fate in the CSA Championships when the field is announced next week.
