Men’s Squash Downed By Tufts in NESCAC Tournament Action

PK Keller earned a hard-fought five-game victory in the fifth slot.
The sixth-seeded Middlebury men's squash team fell to the third-seeded Tufts 8-1 in NESCAC Quarterfinal action on Saturday afternoon.
 
HIGHLIGHTS
  • The Jumbos opened the match with sweeps at #7 and #2.
  • Tufts followed it up with back-to-back 3-1 wins in the sixth and fourth slots to take a 4-0 lead, before clinching the match with a victory at the bottom of the ladder.
  • The Jumbos extended their lead to 8-0 with triumphs at #8, #1 and #3.
  • PK Keller closed the day with a tightly-contested five-game victory (11-8, 3-11, 11-5, 8-11, 11-8) in the fifth spot.
NOTES
  • Keller earned his 11th win this winter and his 29th career victory in today's match.
  • The meeting was the 10th time the two programs have faced one another.
Tufts moves on to face second-seeded Williams in the semifinals, while the Panthers will await to learn their fate in the CSA Championships when the field is announced next week.
