Tomás Kenary Named D3football.com All-American

Kenary earned a spot on the D3football.com All-American Fourth Team.
Tomás Kenary of the Middlebury football team has been named to the D3football.com All-American Fourth Team. The defensive lineman is the first Panther since 2012, and just the 14th overall, to earn the prestigious award.
 
HIGHLIGHTS
  • Kenary finished the fall second on Middlebury's single-season sacks list (11.5), while increasing his career sacks mark to 24.0, the most in program history. 
  • He led a defense that set single-season records in sacks (27.0) and passes defended (69), as well as a single-game sack mark of nine. The unit also limited six opponents to 10 points or less and ranked fourth all-time in single-season sack yards with 181. 
  • The defensive lineman has been tabbed with numerous awards this season. He was named the NESCAC Defensive Player of the Year, earned All-NESCAC First Team Defense honors, was a Gagliardi Trophy Semifinalist, was honored with NEFW and D3football.com All-Region praise, and earned NEFW Gold Helmet and NESCAC Defensive Player of the Week laurels during the fall.
  • Kenary finished the season ranking in the top-five in Division III in tackles for loss (second with 18.0 tackles/104 yards) and sacks (fourth with 1.38 per game).
