Rookie Audrey MacLean Earns All-American Accolades

Audrey MacLean earned All-American honors in her first season at Middlebury.

Audrey MacLean of the #25 Middlebury women's cross country team concluded her incredible first-year campaign by earning U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-American accolades at last weekend's NCAA Championship.

HONOREE HIGHLIGHTS

MacLean put together a superb performance at the national meet on Saturday. The Panther was near the front of the pack throughout the entire race and crossed the finish line in 10th place with a time of 21:20.1.
MacLean was the only rookie runner to finish in the top-14 spots of this year's NCAA Championship.
This season, MacLean secured runner-up honors in both the NESCAC Championship and the NCAA Mideast Regional Championship. During the regional race, she set a collegiate-best clocking of 20:56.1, breaking the 21-minute mark for the first time in her career.
The Panther was named to the All-NESCAC First Team, NESCAC Rookie of the Year, and was awarded conference performer of the week honors on two occasions this fall.
In her first season at Middlebury, MacLean crossed the finish line in the top-10 spots in every race that she competed in, and placed in the top-three in all but two events.

MacLean will continue her athletic year, competing in indoor track and field when the team begins in January 2024.
