Audrey MacLean capped an incredible rookie campaign with a 10th-place finish at the 2023 NCAA Championship, leading 25th-ranked Middlebury to 21st place out of 32 teams. Carleton won the team crown with 151 points, followed closely by New York University (154 points) and the University of Chicago (156 points).

HIGHLIGHTS
- MacLean started at the front of the pack and never let up, crossing the finish line in 10th place with a clocking of 21:20.1. The Panther was the only rookie to finish in the top-14 spots.
- Bea Parr crossed the finish line in a tight group, placing 75th overall with a time of 22:16.6.Â
- Next for Middlebury was Kate Ratcliffe, finishing in 23:01.7 to place 184th.
- Violet Ross and Victoria Fawcett rounded out the scorers, finishing in 23:07.8 and 23:09.0, respectively.
- Panthers Morgane Orcutt and Tatum Peskin were also in the lineup, clocking in at 23:40.1 and 23:46.2, respectively.Â

- Fiona Smith of St. Benedict became the first woman in Division III history to go sub-20 minutes in a 6K at the NCAA Championship, breaking the tape with a blistering time of 19:54.1.Â
Middlebury earned an at-large bid to the championship and made its 27th appearance on the national stage.
