Ziggy Goddard finished in eighth place overall.
The 20th-ranked Middlebury men's cross country team had four runners record personal-best times, en route to a third-place finish at the NCAA MidEast Championship. The eighth-ranked Williams squad won its second-consecutive title with 47 points, followed by Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (57 points) and the Panthers (72 points).

HIGHLIGHTS
- The first finisher across the line for Middlebury was Alec Gironda, clocking in at 24:17.5 to earn sixth place. The time was a personal best for Gironda by one-tenth of a second.
- Ziggy Goddard was right behind in eighth place, finishing with a personal-record time of 24:26.6.
- Benjamin Hughes, Drew Donahue and Shef West all placed in the top–25 to earn all-region honors. Hughes finished 14th (24:45.7), Donahue was 21st (24:53.2) and West rounded out the group with a 23rd-place finish (24:54.8).
NOTES
- Peter Burke (43rd - 25:34.3) and Harry Griff (61st - 26:15.0) also raced for the Panthers.
- Gironda, Goddard, Hughes and West all recorded personal-best times.
- Each of the scorers earned all-region laurels for placing in the top-35 spots.
Middlebury hopes to receive one of 22 at-large bids to the NCAA Championship when the field is announced on Sunday.
