#17 Women’s Squash Ends Perfect Weekend With 6-3 Triumph At #18 F&M

Maya Bardorf clinched the match with her win at #8.
The 17th-ranked Middlebury women's squash team wrapped up a perfect road weekend a 6-3 win at #18 Franklin & Marshall. The victory was the third in as many days for the Panthers, including two triumphs over top-20 nationally-ranked foes. 
 
HIGHLIGHTS
  • Middlebury quickly secured the match's first four points, including two sweeps, to take a commanding 4-0 lead.
  • Kieran Suntha earned her third victory of the weekend, posting an 11-1, 11-2, 11-2 win at the bottom of the ladder, while teammate Abbie Peterson quickly followed with her third-straight win at #7(11-7, 11-7, 11-7).
  • Margaux Comai gave the Panthers a 3-0 advantage with an 11-8, 9-11, 11-8, 11-5 victory in the fourth slot.
  • Caroline Arena battled back from a 2-1 deficit at #6, earning a 9-11, 11-6, 8-11, 11-3, 11-8 triumph to push the Middlebury lead to 4-0.
  • Following a Diplomat win in the second spot, Maya Bardorf clinched the match with a sweep in the eighth position (11-1, 11-2, 11-2).
  • F&M won at #3 to make it a 5-2 match, before Eva Finney tallied her third win in a row in the middle of the ladder (11-7, 12-14, 11-9, 11-6).
  • The Diplomats picked up their third point in the top spot for the final 6-3 score. 
NOTES
  • Peterson and Comai are tied for the team lead with five victories this season.
  • Finney picked up her 10th career win.
  • Sunday's match marked the 31st meeting in an all-time series in which Middlebury owns a 20-11 advantage.
