#17 Panthers Ease Past Dickinson

Caroline Arena earned her 20th career win on Saturday.
The 17th-ranked Middlebury women's squash team increased its winning streak to three with a 7-2 victory over host Dickinson. The match was the second in as many days for the Panthers, with Middlebury rounding out the weekend on Sunday. 
 
HIGHLIGHTS
  • The Panthers jumped out to a 3-0 lead with a trio of sweeps at #7, #6 and #9, respectively.
  • Abbie Peterson cruised by scores of 11-4, 11-7, 11-5 at #7, Caroline Arena won in the sixth slot (11-1, 11-2, 11-3), while Kieran Suntha surrendered just seven points at the bottom of the ladder (11-4, 11-1, 11-2).
  • Following a Devil victory in the fourth spot, Abby Holding outlasted her opponent at #2 in five games (11-9, 11-4, 5-11, 6-11, 11-7) for a 4-1 Middlebury advantage.
  • Maya Bardorf tallied the clinching point in the eighth slot of the ladder, posting an 11-4, 11-2, 11-2 triumph.
  • Eva Finney was victorious at #5 in three games (11-2, 11-6, 11-7), while Izzy Ronda made it a 6-1 match with an 11-8, 11-6, 11-6 win in the third position. 
  • Dickinson tallied a five-game victory in the top slot for the final 7-2 decision.
NOTES
  • Arena's win was the 20th of her career.
  • Middlebury and Dickinson squared off for just the third matchup in the all-time series with the Panthers winning all three.
