Women’s Swimming and Diving Hosts Middlebury Invitational

Madeline Hiller finished first in the 200 breaststroke.
The Middlebury women's swimming and diving team hosted the annual Middlebury Invitational on Friday and Saturday afternoon. The Panthers will compete in the NESCAC Championships hosted by Bowdoin from February 9-12.

HIGHLIGHTS
  • Maddy Reid finished third in the 50-yard butterfly, stopping the clock at 26.62.
  • In the 200 individual medley (IM), Hannah Baumgartner recorded a runner-up finish, clocking in at 2:08.74.
  • Middlebury took the top-two spots in both the 400 and 200 medley relays. The quartet of Reid, Baumgartner, Elise Scott and Emma Hall touched the wall first in 3:50.48 in the 400 and 1:46.59 in the 200. Isabel Pentony, Zoe Tray, Isabella Caddeau and Lily Siemasko placed second with times of 3:52.81 (400 MR) and 1:47.07 (200 MR), respectively.
  • Chloe Katz touched the wall second in the 400 IM with a time of 4:35.30.
  • In the 500 freestyle, Mia Zottola finished as a runner-up, stopping the clock at 5:16.45.
  • Off the diving board, Lia Smith took the top spot in the three-meter event with a score of 454.90 points.
  • Asa Stone scored a first-place finish in the 100 free, touching the wall in 54.92.
  • The Panthers claimed the first three spots in the 200 breaststroke. Madeline Hiller finished first with a time of 2:29.98, while Zoe Tray and Grace Nadecki stopped the clock in second and third.
  • Middlebury finished first and second in the 400 freestyle relay. Siemasko, Baumgartner, Louise Hay and Julianna Haensly posted a winning mark of 3:32.60, while the quartet of Avery Maxwell, Reid, Katz and Caddeau were close behind, stopping the clock with 3:36.20.

  • The winning 400 medley relay team recorded an NCAA B Cut time.
