Shea Brams won Saturday's 20K classic mass start to highlight the Middlebury nordic and alpine skiing teams during the final day of the University of New Hampshire (UNH) Carnival. Brams was joined by two other Panther women in the top five, as the group won the event. The Middlebury men claimed spots fourth through seven to finish runner-up. The University of Vermont won the carnival with 916 points, while the Panthers were the runner-up with 782 points and Dartmouth was third (769 points).

NORDIC HIGHLIGHTS
- Brams claimed her first individual victory as a Panther, crossing the line with a winning time of 1:03:27.3.
- Charlotte Ogden also earned a spot on the podium with a runner-up finish (1:03:33.9).Â
- Quincy Massey-Bierman was right behind the podium duo, stopping the clock in 1:04:13.9, which was good for fifth place.
- The three Panthers combined to score 136 points in the event, outdistancing Vermont's second-place total of 110 points.
- The men tallied a superb day on the trails, skiing to spots four through seven in the 20K classic, separated by just 20.7 seconds.Â
- Logan Moore claimed his second top-five finish of the weekend, finishing in fourth place with a time of 54:23.2.
- Sam Hodges was right behind Moore in fifth place (54:34.0), while Willson Moore (54:40.3) and Jack Christner (54:43.9) posted sixth and seventh-place efforts, respectively.
- The Panther men recorded 117 points to finish second in the event.
ALPINE HIGHLIGHTS
- During the slalom, the Middlebury women posted three top-10 finishes.Â
- In the slalom, Sofia Yubero just missed the podium, finishing in fourth place with a combined two-run time of 2:03.92.
- Mika-Anne Reha was just over six-tenths of a second back in seventh (2:04.53), while teammate Sophia Tozzi posted a career-best ninth-place with a combined clocking of 2:04.98.
- The Panther women scored 107 points to finish in third.
- On the men's side, Nico Richeda was 14th, completing his two trips down the mountain in 1:54.80.
- Michel Macedo finished 31st (1:58.77), while Bradshaw Underhill was 45th (2:10.13).
NOTES
- Brams posted her sixth top-six finish in as many races.
- Ogden's runner-up effort was her second this season.Â
- Richeda's finish on Saturday was a season best.
The Panther alpine team returns to action next Friday and Saturday when they conclude the Saint Michael's Carnival, while the nordic team is idle.
