Bradshaw Underhill finished sixth in Friday's giant slalom.
The Middlebury alpine and nordic ski teams posted a trio of top-five finishes and sit in fourth place following day one of the University of New Hampshire (UNH) Carnival. The University of Vermont leads the way with 425 points after the initial day, followed by UNH (396 points), Dartmouth (383 points) and the Panthers (376 points).

NORDIC HIGHLIGHTS
- The women's squad placed its three scorers in the top-15 spots during the 5K freestyle event to finish second with 99 points
- Leading the way was Shea Brams who just missed the podium, crossing the line in fourth place with a time of 12:58.5.
- Charlotte Ogden and Quincy Massey-Bierman finished just seconds apart. Ogden stopped the clock in 13:09.1 (13th), just ahead of Massey-Bierman's mark of 13:12.8 (14th).Â
- The men's team accumulated 96 points for third place.Â
- Logan Moore paced the Panthers with a fifth-place showing of 11:08.4 over the 5K freestyle.Â
- Sam Hodges was 11th with a time of 11:22.9, just seconds ahead of Jack Christner in 14th with a clocking of 11:26.2.
ALPINE HIGHLIGHTS
- During the giant slalom in which the top-17 placers were separated by just 2.90 seconds, the Panther women scored 90 points to finish fourth.Â
- Alexandra Cossette raced down the hill with a two-run time of 2:12.96 to finish fifth.
- Mika-Anne Reha crossed the line in 13th place, recording a combined clocking of 2:14.24.
- Nina Reichhelm rounded out the scorers for the women, finishing in 17th place (2:14.65).Â
- Bradshaw Underhill led the men's squad down the mountain, placing sixth overall with a two-run time of 2:09.28.Â
- Just behind Underhill was teammate Axel Bailey in seventh, finishing with a combined clocking of 2:09.76.
- Sebastian Segre completed his two trips down the mountain in 2;11.48, good for 26th place in his first collegiate race.
- The men's squad finished in fifth place during the event scoring 91 points.
NOTES
- Brams posted her fifth top-six finish in as many races.
- Moore's top-10 effort was the fifth of his season.
- Cossette and Underhill each posted their best showing this winter.
