The #15 Middlebury women's squash team came up short to #17 Amherst, suffering a 5-4 loss. The contest came down to the closest of margins in the final match of the day, but the Mammoths came out with the 3-2 triumph to secure the win.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Amherst picked up the first point of the day with a 3-0 win at #6, before Maya Bardorf swept her opponent in the eighth slot to make it 1-1.
- Izzy Ronda and her opponent traded the first four games at #3, before Ronda cruised 11-3 in the final game to secure the win.
- The Mammoths regained the lead (4-2) with wins at #5, #9 and #4.
- Lindsey Burnham dropped her first game at the top of the ladder, but came back strong to claim the triumph in four games (9-11, 11-7, 11-4, 11-8).
- Amherst clinched the match with a victory in the seventh slot, while Abby Holding closed out the scoring with a tight 3-2 win at #2.Â
NOTES
- Bardorf remains perfect on the season, improving to 10-0.
