Men’s Swimming & Diving Splits With Hamilton & Williams On Senior Day

The Panther men's swimming and diving program honored its 10 seniors prior to the meet.
The Middlebury men's swimming and diving team defeated Hamilton 172.5-120.5 but fell to 11th-ranked Williams 186.5-110.5 to earn a split on Senior Day. 
 
HIGHLIGHTS
  • The 200-yard medley relay of Jack Undercofler, Matthew Hensel, Riley Griffis and Samuel Hughes kicked off the meet with a second-place finish, stopping the clock in 1:34.37.
  • Griffis also took home a pair of first-place finishes in the 200 freestyle (1:41.46) as well as the 500 free (4:41.36).
  • Hughes touched the wall first in the 100 backstroke with a clocking of 52.34, while he earned runner-up laurels in the 50 free (21.99). 
  • Matthew Hensel stopped the clock with a second-place effort of 1:00.24 during the 100 breaststroke and finished third in the 200 free (1:46.25).
  • Third-place times were posted by Luke McNamara in the 1,000 free (9:58.12), Andrew Dou during the 100 butterfly (52.14) and Christopher Pedersen in the 50 free (22.02).
  • Off the diving boards, Ryan Greguski finished second in the 3-meter event with a score of 233.18 points, while he was third in the 1-meter (222.53 points). 
  • Jason Rickenbacher finished as the runner-up in the 1-meter, accumulating 223.05 points, while Liam Smith dove to third in the 3-meter with 220.73 points.
