Women’s Swimming and Diving Falls to #16 Bowdoin 173.5-126.5

Emma Hall was second to touch the wall in both the 100-yard and 200-yard breaststroke events
The Middlebury women's swimming and diving team fell against #16 Bowdoin on Saturday afternoon by a score of 173.5-126.5.

HIGHLIGHTS
  • Off the diving boards, Lia Smith finished first in both the 1-meter and 3-meter, with point totals of 237.00 (1m) and 273.45 (3m), respectively.
  • Emma Hall was second to touch the wall in both the 100-yard and 200-yard breaststroke events, finishing with times of 1:07.40 and 2:26.83.
  • Hannah Baumgartner placed second in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:10.39.
  • Izzy Pentony finished runner-up during the 100 and 200 backstroke, stopping the clock at 59.33 and 2:09.25, respectively. 
  • The Panthers also secured second-place efforts in both relay events. The 200 medley quartet of Baumgartner, Hall, Maddy Reid and Elise Scott clocked in at 1:49.44. In the 200 free relay, Avery Maxwell, Louise Hay, Lily Siemasko and Julianna Haensley finished with a time of 1:40.33.
NOTES
  • The Panthers will be back in the Middlebury Natatorium on January 21 when they host a tri-meet with Williams and Hamilton.
