Middlebury's Marco Motroni broke the school record in the 60-meter dash, helping the Panthers win the Snowflake Invitational. Middlebury accumulated 181 points, edging out the University of Vermont (176 points) to claim the crown. 
 
HIGHLIGHTS

• Motroni stopped the clock in 7.00 seconds to win the 60m dash and write his name in the record books. The previous time of 7.07 was set back in 2018, and Aidan Castanon finished with that exact time today to place second in the event.
• In the 60m hurdles, Jefferson Hill claimed the crown with a personal-record clocking of 8.69 seconds, while Quinn Kennedy was second (8.86) in his first outing as a Panther.
• Walker Coleman earned the top spot in the long jump with a leap of 6.08m, while Tony Wang followed in third with a mark of 5.82m. 
• In the 3,000m, Zander Kessler crossed the finish line first, clocking in at 8:30.44.
• Peter Hansen rounded out the first-place finishes in the 400m, finishing in 51.41, while Xander Swann was two spots back in third (52.50).
• In the weight throw, Dave Filias recorded a personal-best toss of 13.88m to earn runner-up honors. 
• A pair of Panthers earned second-place finishes in jumping events with personal-best marks. Sam McGarrahan cleared the high jump bar at 1.95m, while Henry Ericson soared to a height of 3.96m in the pole vault. 
• Motroni and Swann went two and three in the 200m, clocking in at 23.30 and 23.35, respectively. Swann's time was a personal record.
• Third-place finishes came from Owen Johnson in the mile (4:21.45), Will Lavey in the 1,000m (2:43.05) and the 4x400 relay comprised of Colin Breen, Isaiah Izzo Lizardi, Swann and Daryl Edwards (3:33.58). 

 
The Panthers are back inside Virtue Field House next weekend when they host the Middlebury Winter Classic.
