#23 Men’s Squash Drops 7-2 Decision At #21 Colby

Julian Sandoval was victorious in four games at #7.
The 23rd-ranked Middlebury men's squash team fell by a 7-2 score at #21 Colby on Saturday. The Mules claimed a pair of five-game wins and two four-game triumphs in the tightly-contested match.
 
HIGHLIGHTS
  • Trailing 2-0, Julian Sandoval pulled the Panthers to within one (2-1) with a 13-11, 11-5, 5-11, 11-5 victory at #7.
  • Colby tallied a sweep at #9, followed by consecutive five-game contests in the third and sixth positions for a 5-1 lead.
  • Alexis Ballo recorded a three-game narrow decision in the eighth slot by scores of 11-8, 12-10, 11-8 to post Middlebury's second point.
  • The Mules concluded the scoring with four-game wins in the middle and top of the ladder for the final 7-2 tally.
NOTES
  • Ballo's victory ties him for the team lead with eight (8-1).
  • Sandoval improves to 6-1 and a 4-1 record at #7.
