The 13th-ranked Middlebury women's cross country team placed third out of seven teams at the St. Lawrence University Ronald C. Hoffman Invitational. The home team won the event with 22 points, followed by Vassar (42 points) and the Panthers (74 points).

HIGHLIGHTS

• Lucca Franz was the first finisher across for Middlebury, placing 12th in a field of 77 runners with a time of 24:27.2.
• Right behind Franz in 13th place was Josie Dolan with a clocking of 24:28.1. 
• Keegan McAuliffe (24:31.0) and Morgane Orcutt (24:33.6) finished in 15th and 16th, respectively.
• Rounding out the scorers for the Panthers was Tatum Peskin, clocking in at 24:42.5, good for 18th place.

• The course served as a preview for the 2022 NCAA MidEast Championships which will be held at SLU on November 12.
