Lynn Sobczyk Named Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach

Middlebury has announced the hiring of Lynn Sobczyk as the assistant women's soccer coach. Sobczyk joins the Panthers after serving in a similar capacity last season at Norwich University. 
 

"We are excited to have Lynn join our Middlebury women's soccer family," said head coach Peter Kim. "Her energy, warmth and wide-ranging experience will be a great addition to our fantastic staff."

"I couldn't be more ecstatic to have this incredible opportunity to coach at Middlebury College and work closely with a group of well-rounded student-athletes," said Sobczyk. "I am looking forward to being part of a talented coaching staff and working alongside Peter, who I consider a mentor. I am ready to dive right in and see what this season has in store!"

 ATHLETIC CAREER
  • One-year women's soccer goalkeeper at Mercy College (2016-2017)
  • Two-year women's soccer goalkeeper at SUNY Cortland (2017-2019)
    • Teams went 21-10-5 during those two seasons
    • Made one appearance in the SUNYAC Tournament final and another in the semifinal round
  • Wellington High School (2012-2016)
    • Four-year member of the soccer team, three as a starter
    • Team reached the state semifinals her senior season
    • Two-year starter in lacrosse
