Middlebury opened the 2022 New England Division III Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championship with a number of top-15 finishes in limited action on Friday. The two-day meet is being hosted by Williams and concludes on Saturday with events starting at 10:00 a.m.

The Panthers had a good showing in the hammer throw, as Daniel Brey and Dave Filias each placed in the top 15. Brey was 11th with a toss of 46.02 meters, while Filias was one spot behind in 12th with a distance of 45.70.

Marco Motroni ran a time of 11.22 seconds to place 12th in the trials of the 100 meters, while Aaron Tobias had a clocking of 11.41 in the same event.

Jefferson Hill ran in the trials of the 110m high hurdles, claiming 19th with a time of 15.95.
