The 2022 men's golf seniors.
The Middlebury men's golf team finished in third place with a score of 613 at the NESCAC Championship on Sunday. Hamilton won the crown with a two-day total of 597, while Tufts was the runner-up (609). The Continentals served as the host for the weekend event, with competition taking place at the Yahnundasis Golf Club (par 71, 6792 yards) in New Hartford, New York The Panthers will wait to hear if they are selected for the NCAA Tournament when the field is announced on Monday.
Sean McGarrity led the way for Middlebury, posting a two-day score of 150 (76-74) to place sixth. On Sunday, McGarrity had a par on nine holes, while birdieing holes #6, #10 and #14.
Kenneth Dieker was just two strokes back in a tie for seventh place, combining for a score of 152 (77-75). Dieker started the day with a birdie on the first hole and posted par on 12 holes.
Hogan Beazley was the third Panther finisher, tying for 14th place with a two-day total of 155 (79-76). Beazley was phenomenal on the back 9 on Sunday, tallying birdies on holes #10 and #13, while posting par on the final five holes.
Phin Choukas was next for Middlebury with a combined score of 157 (78-79), good for a 17th-place tie.
Colin McCaigue was the final scorer for the Panthers, one stroke back with a 158 (78-80).
