The #8 Panther women's tennis team (11-4, 7-1) collected its fifth-consecutive victory on Sunday, cruising past Connecticut College (2-13, 0-8) by a 9-0 score. Middlebury returns to action on Saturday for a 2:00 p.m. home contest against Colby for Senior Day.
The top Panther doubles duo of
Amy Delman and
Gena Huang tallied the team's first point with an 8-1 victory, while
Nora Dahl and
Nina Farhat didn't drop a game during their win at #3. The second pair of
Sahana Raman and
Claudia Miller wrapped up the third point with an 8-1 triumph.
The Panthers recorded all six points and didn't surrender a set during singles. Raman cruised at the top of the lineup (6-0, 6-1) for her 20th individual win this year, while
Sami Remis posted the clinching point at #5 (6-1, 6-0).
Delman increased the Middlebury lead to six (6-0) with a 6-2, 6-0 victory, while
Kavina Amin eased past her opponent in the fourth position (6-0, 6-0).
Amanda Frank matched that effort with a 6-0, 6-0 win at the bottom of the lineup, while Miller rounded out the sweep with a 6-2, 6-2 triumph in the second spot.  Â
